The Original "Flying Ace"
1954 Studebaker Commander W/Stock: The original "Flying Ace" was a 1954 Studebaker Comander. Flathead 6 cylinder power put the car into W/Stock at the local dragstrip where it dominated the class resulting in many trophies and cash awards. The car was raced at 75-80 in Monrovia Maryland in 1970.

"Flying Ace II"
1953 Hudson Jet J/Gas: The "Flying Ace II" was a 1953 Hudson Jet. Sporting a 308 C.I. Hudson flathead 6 cylinder bored and stroked to 326 CI the car ran J/Gas using 3 side draft Weber carbs, '57 Chevrolet rear, and turbo hydro transmission. The "Ace" ran low 14 second times and ran the 1/8 mile like a low 13 second car due to the tremendous torque of the flathead. The torque was enough to break one of the axles on the starting line at a local race. The "Ace" was very successful and eventually was raced in some of the very first organized bracket classes. The car was seen at 75-80 in Monrovia Maryland and Capital Raceway in the late 1960's and early 1970's.

D.C. Area Street Muscle
1970 Superbee Lime Green "V Code" 6 Pack: Awesome green 1970 Superbee was a real "V-Code" FJ6 Sublime 440 6 pack car. Equipped with headers and with some carb work it prowled the streets of the Washington D.C. suburbs in the early 1970's and saw some drag strip use resulting in low 13 second ET's on street tires. 12's were definitely within reach.

The "Denver Bear"
1969 GTX Bracket Car: Campained in the mid 1970's the "Denver Bear" was a 1969 GTX bracket car that was originally raced as a Super Stocker. As pictured it was raced with a 383 and automatic transmission with a Hurst ratchet shifter that produced mid 12 second ET's at 109 mph. It also had an original factory 6 pack fiberglass hood that was modified to work with the combo, this is probably why 6 pack parts for the '69 cars are so valuable.

More D.C. Street Muscle
1970 'Cuda 440 - "Street Sweeper": Purchased as "practical" transportation for back and forth rides to High School from 1976 to 1977 this 1970 440 Barracuda saw plenty of street action. Custom paint was applied by previous owner. The Cuda had a Holley 850 double pumper, headers, Hush Thrush mufflers, and Racer Brown Cam with a slap stick auto and white interior. Up front 3 inch wide Columbia tires made it a handful in anything but a straight line.

Back to the Drag Races
1965 Satellite Bracket Car: Purchased in the early 1980's this 1965 Satellite was destined for track use only. Car ran originally in J/Stock with a 383 and a 4 speed running 11.80's at 115 mph. Later converted to a bracket car with modified stock suspension (springs and snubber) and 440 4 barrel motivation with a manual shifted automatic. In this configuration the car ran low 12 second elapsed times. The car was destined to become much faster.
